Side Games: Head-to-Head, Skins, Snake and Nearest the Pin
Tag your mates before the round and pick your games. Four classics on the same card, all worked out for you.
Tag your mates
Before you tee off, tag who’s in each game. Your organiser switches each of the four on for the group.
Head-to-Head
Every pair plays each other on stableford: front nine, back nine and the full eighteen. Win a block and you take it. A tie moves nothing.
Skins
Hole by hole, the most stableford points wins the skin outright. Tie a hole and it carries, and only the players who tied can win the carry.
Snake
Three-putt and you’re holding the snake. It passes, and doubles, every time someone new three-putts. Whoever is still holding it at the end of the round takes the hit, and everyone else walks away clean.
Nearest the Pin
Par 3s only. Land it on the green and closest to the pin wins. If nobody hits the green, it doubles and rolls on to the next par 3. Nobody loses anything: it’s winner only.
On the record
Every side game lands on your balance with the round, line by line, in the round’s itemised breakdown.
