The Pot Ties Out: expected, received, outstanding

Expected, received, outstanding. They always add up, and Golf Champs never holds the money.

Your pot, your Wise account

The pot sits in the organiser’s own Wise account, in a separate AUD jar so it stays visibly apart from their own money. Golf Champs never holds the money. It just keeps the count.

Everyone gets their own reference

Every player gets a payment reference of their own, like GC-FISH-PERIOD, shown on their profile with the deposit details. Set up a recurring transfer once and forget it.

Payments match themselves

With auto-sync on, the organiser pastes in a read-only Wise key and payments tick themselves off as they land with the right reference. It’s optional, and it’s for Australian accounts for now.

The pot ties out

The pot screen shows what the pot expects, what it has received and what’s outstanding, player by player. Expected always equals received plus outstanding.

Good to know

Does Golf Champs hold our money?

No. It sits in the organiser’s own account.

What if someone pays with the wrong reference?

The organiser matches it by hand.

Do we need auto-sync?

No. It’s optional, and it needs an Australian Wise account for now. Without it, the organiser ticks payments off by hand.

Can members see what they still owe?

Yes. Home shows what you owe, the pot screen lists everything still to pay, and your profile has your own reference.

Every number and every edge case is on the rules page.
