Add Golf Champs to your Home Screen
Golf Champs is a web app, so there’s nothing to download. Add it to your Home Screen once and it opens like any other app.
iPhone and iPad
- Open app.golfchamps.app in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button . On iPhone it’s in the bar at the bottom of the screen. On iPad it’s at the top right, next to the address bar. On iOS 26, tap first, then Share.
- Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen . If you see Open as Web App, leave it on.
- Tap Add. The Golf Champs icon lands on your Home Screen.
Prefer Chrome on your iPhone? It works there too on iOS 16.4 or later: tap the Share icon at the right of the address bar, then Add to Home Screen.
Android
- Open app.golfchamps.app in Chrome and sign in.
- If Chrome pops up Install app, tap it. If not, tap the menu at the top right.
- Tap Add to Home screen or Install app (it depends on the phone), then Install or Add.
On Samsung Internet: tap the menu at the bottom right, then Add page to, then Home screen.
Opened the link inside Instagram, Facebook or your email app?
Those apps open links in their own little browser, and it can’t add anything to your Home Screen. Open the page in your phone’s real browser first:
- iPhone: tap (or the compass), then Open in Safari or Open in browser.
- Android: tap , then Open in Chrome or Open in browser.
The wording changes from app to app. If you can’t find it, copy the link and paste it into Safari or Chrome. Then follow the steps above.
What you get
- Full screen. No address bar and no browser tabs, just Golf Champs.
- Its own icon on your Home Screen, next to your other apps.
- Straight to your group. Tap the icon and you land on Home.
- No app store updates. There’s nothing to download or update.
- Notifications as before. Your emails and the bell keep working exactly as they do now.
Good to know
Do I have to sign in again?
Maybe once. On iPhone and iPad the Home Screen icon keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari, so the first time you open it you may be asked to sign in. After that it remembers you.
Does removing the icon delete my account?
No. It only removes the shortcut. Your account, your rounds and your group are all still there. Add the icon again any time, or open app.golfchamps.app in your browser.
Do I have to add it?
No. Everything works in the browser too. The icon just puts Golf Champs one tap away.
I can’t see Add to Home Screen
Check you’re in Safari (iPhone and iPad) or Chrome (Android), not inside another app. On iPhone, scroll right down the Share list; if it’s still not there, tap Edit Actions at the bottom and add it.
