Blunders
A blow-up comes off your own balance, scaled to your handicap, and the whole group sees it land.
How a blunder works
Golf Champs checks every full 18-hole card in stableford points, so every blunder is measured against your own handicap. A wipe is a hole worth zero points, pickups included. When your card shows a blow-up, the blunder comes off your own balance. Nobody else’s balance moves. See the Blunders guide.
The blunders
Meltdown, Nine from Hell, The Collapse, Bogey Streak, On Tilt, The Quitter, Range Was Shut, Plane to Catch, All Show No Go, Too Close to the Sun and Home Disgrace. How Blunders Work on the Blunders screen says exactly what fires each one.
Every blunder is scaled to your handicap: one and a half times for a scratch player, easing down to half for a 28-marker and above. A low marker shouldn’t be wiping holes, so it costs them more. On a Double Flag round or at a Major, blunders count double.
The Blunders screen
Open More, then Blunders. The BLUNDERS panel at the top counts the season’s Blunders, the total Self-Inflicted and how many Players have blundered. Then there are three tabs.
- Feed: every blunder, newest first: who, which blunder, what happened, the date and what it cost. 🚩 ×2 marks one that landed on a Double Flag round.
- Damage Report: MOST BLUNDER-PRONE ranks everyone who has blundered by what it has cost them. Tap a player to see it broken down by blunder.
- How Blunders Work: every blunder, what fires it and what it costs in your group.

Switched off?
Your organiser can switch blunders off in Group Settings, which is handy while a new group finds its feet. When they’re off, no blunders fire and the Blunders screen disappears from More.
Good to know
Does a blunder hurt anyone else?
No. It only ever comes off your own balance.
Can one round fire more than one blunder?
Yes. Some overlaps are ruled out so the same holes aren’t charged twice: a cold start that is also a bogey streak counts as the bogey streak. Others stack, like the Quitter inside a Meltdown.
Do nine-hole rounds get blunders?
No. Blunders only fire on a full 18-hole card.
Does a pickup count as a wipe?
Yes. Any hole worth zero stableford points is a wipe.
