The Double Flag
Once a period, wave the Double Flag before you play and your next round counts double, good or bad.
Wave it
- Tap the flag icon at the top of the app, next to the chat bubble.
- Tap 🚩 Wave the Double Flag — next round counts double.
- Read the box and tap Wave it 🚩. There are no take-backs.

The flag at the top lights up purple while yours is waiting, and it attaches to your next round, whoever puts the card in. The last setup screen of the Score tab also has a Double Down switch for each player on the card. It’s the same double: one or the other, once a period.
What doubles
- Your score for the round: every scoring line.
- Your blunders.
- Your Home Turf result.
- Your GC points: a beat is worth 6, a round that crosses neither line 2, and a trigger costs 6.
Raids stay single, the ones you fire and the ones that hit you, and so do side games. The flag only ever touches your own round.
The fine print
- One double a period. If you don’t use it, it’s gone when the period ends and you get a fresh one for the next. The flag starts nagging a week out and pulses for the last three days.
- Wave it before you tee off. Round Detail shows the group when the flag went up, when the round was played and when it was submitted.
- A flagged round can’t be mulliganed.
- A Major already counts double. If your next round is a Major, the flag waits for the one after.
- There’s no Double Flag on a Champ Day.
What the group sees
The group gets a feed card and an email the moment you wave it. The flag at the top of their app shows how many flags are up, and tapping it shows whose. Your next booked round shows the flag next to your name, your live round reads 🚩 DOUBLE, and the finished round is tagged 🚩 2× in Round History.
The rules call it The Double Round. The 25-second film is The Double Flag.
Good to know
Can I wave it after the round?
No. Wave it before you tee off. Every flagged round shows the group when the flag went up next to when it was played and submitted, so a late one is there for everyone to see.
Can I change my mind?
No. Once it’s waved, your next round counts double however you play.
Does it double my raids?
No. Raids stay single both ways, and so do side games. See Beats and Triggers for what the GC points mean.
Does it work with Quick Entry?
Yes. A flag waved before the round counts whether you score live or type the card in afterwards. Double Down in the round setup is different: on your own, it needs live hole-by-hole scoring.
What if I don't use it?
It’s lost at the end of the period, and you get a new one for the next.
